Job Description:


Operations Management

  •  Lead and supervise the Operations team, including shift engineers, control room operators, and technical staff. 
  •  Ensure smooth daily plant operations and continuous power generation. 
  •  Oversee grid synchronization and ensure compliance with national grid codes and Load Dispatch Center directives. 
  •  Monitor plant performance through SCADA, telemetry, and automation systems. 
  •  Analyze real-time operational data to improve plant efficiency. 

Maintenance Management

  •  Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans. 
  •  Monitor generation logs, vibration data, thermal readings, and fault records to minimize forced outages. 
  •  Supervise the maintenance of transformers, switchyards, control panels, protection relays, turbines, and governors. 
  •  Ensure high equipment reliability and plant availability. 

Site Administration & Resource Management

  •  Promote and enforce occupational health and safety standards. 
  •  Manage spare parts inventory, testing instruments, and emergency equipment. 
  •  Coordinate maintenance schedules and resource allocation for efficient plant operations. 
  •  Ensure timely response to technical emergencies.


Specification:

Educational Qualification

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university. 

Experience

  •  Minimum 5+ years of experience in the hydropower industry. 
  •  Experience in the operation and maintenance of hydropower plants with a capacity of 20 MW or above

Technical Knowledge

  •  Strong knowledge of: 
    •  High-voltage (HV/MV) switchyard systems 
    •  Protection relay settings 
    •  Generator excitation systems 
    •  Governor control systems 
    •  Auxiliary backup systems 
    •  Grid synchronization and compliance 
    •  SCADA, telemetry, and plant automation systems 
  •  Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. 
  •  Ability to manage plant start-up, emergency isolation, black-start procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
