Health Assistant-Naxal, Kathmandu
Job Description:
  • Assist doctors and nurses in IVF, fertility, and gynecology-related patient care.
  • Prepare patients for consultations, examinations, investigations, and procedures.
  • Assist the clinical team during minor procedures and fertility treatment processes as directed.
  • Record and monitor patients’ vital signs and basic health information.
  • Support patients during clinic visits and provide clear guidance on routine procedures.
  • Assist with sample collection, labeling, handling, and coordination as per clinic protocols.
  • Coordinate with the laboratory, nursing, doctor, and reception teams for smooth patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documents, and reports.
  • Assist in managing patient appointments, follow-ups, and treatment schedules.
  • Ensure proper preparation and availability of medical supplies and clinical equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection-control standards within clinical areas.
  • Handle patients with care, empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Assist in maintaining proper records of procedures, medications, and patient instructions as required.
  • Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and professional healthcare standards.
  • Perform other clinical support duties assigned by the doctor or nursing supervisor.
Specification:
  • Health Assistant (HA) qualification with valid registration/license.
  • Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, fertility center, IVF center, or gynecology department is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of IVF, fertility treatment, and reproductive health procedures will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic vital signs monitoring and patient care.
  • Good communication and patient-handling skills.
  • Compassionate, respectful, and comfortable working with patients undergoing fertility treatment.
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
  • Good documentation and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and medical records.
  • Responsible, attentive, punctual, and able to work in a clinical environment.
  • Willingness to learn IVF-related procedures and clinical protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
